A large hatched area for just two bike stands in a Newlyn car park

Sheffield stands in a sensible location and a cycle hoop where there are unlikely to be many bikes.

Sheffield stand and an area for cycles with kickstands, which are not common in the UK, especially as it's risky not to lock onto a stand. Perhaps it's for a bike-sharing scheme, but I've not noticed this in Penzance yet. [but I have now … [more]

Designated parking for cycles with kickstands, which are not common in the UK, especially as it's risky not to lock onto a stand. Perhaps it's for a bike-sharing scheme, but I've not noticed this in Penzance yet. [but I have now seen them … [more]

Plenty of under-used Sheffield stands at Asda, Hayle

Cycle parking at Carnon Downs surgery - covered (good) but just a few insecure wheel benders (not good).

Stands for long bikes, Penryn

Cycle parking and toilets at the National Trust's Kynance Cove car park - with Cycling UK's new West Kernow Way in the background.

Small cycle shelter at Waitrose, Truro

Half-width layby taken over for cycle parking - outside a car parts shop, Penryn

Cycle parking at community workspaces, Penryn

Cycle parking at Sainsbury's, Penryn - not much of it but marginally more convenient than some of the car parking.

Bespoke cycle stands at Tesco, Truro

Lots of bikes (mainly rented MTBs) at a café at the junction of Cornwall's Coast-to-Coast Trail and NCN route 3

Lots of wheel bender cycle stands at Bike Chain Bissoe shop and café

Cycle parking at this new crematorium, just a mile or so out of Camborne

Cycle (and trike) parking at The Stables café on the National Trust's Penrose estate

As promised, cycle parking at the new Penzance Heliport - more use for staff than passengers, I imagine.

Small cycle shelter at the new car park at the rear of St Erth station

Small cycle shelter at St Erth station
