Dropped kerb and barriers on the cut-through to Gwealdues Green, Helston

Blocked permeability

Future link to the Gwealdues estate, Helston

Barriers on link from the B3297 to new housing, Helston

Ridiculous barriers to anyone except fit pedestrians on the way to the Mevagissey Model Railway

Missing link between the shared-use path (NCN route 3) from Marazion to Penzance and teh dead-end path past the Coastwatch station.

A nice little cut-through in St Ives - except for the parked cars.

The only gate on the new bridleway onto the National Trust's Penrose Estate

Flooded track on Lizard Down

Dropped kerb, but barriers too - this cut-through is the only route into Helston that doesn't require using the A394 bypass, and should have been built for cycling from the start.

Steps on the link to the closed road past Penair School, Truro

Steps towards the closed road past Penair School, Truro

Dropped kerb needed on this useful cut-through

Roundabout and steps in the housing estate near Penair School, Truro

It's bizarre to have a closed road past Penair School, Truro, but only stepped access to the school.

Steps from the closed road past Penair School, Truro

No dropped kerb, not signed as cycle access to Waitrose - the road access is a very long way around.

The only real obstacle on the bridleway around the east side of RNAS Culdrose

Bridleway around the east side of RNAS Culdrose - not easy to cycle here.

Shown on OpenCycleMap as a cycle route east of the Chacewater car park

Shown on OpenCycleMap as a cycle route east of the Chacewater car park

Obstructions on NCN route 32 in Truro - the route through the car park to the left of Truro Methodist Church is more direct anyway.

This is signposted as a cycle route to Truro station

Road closure in Truro - NCN route 3 is on the road to the left, so it would be good to have easier passage here for cycles.

Flooding on Cornwall's Coast-to-Coast Trail after Storm Evert - I rode through but got my shoes wet.

Gate (just visible) on the bridleway between Perranwell and Frogpool

Gate on the bridleway between Frogpool and Perranwell

Tough choice - granite stile on the footbridge, or a muddy ford (not a problem, in fact)

Closure of the coast path from Loe Bar to Porthleven.

Muddy link to the cycle route under the A30

Western end of bridleway on former mineral tramway to Gwithian

The dead-end road is narrowed to a single lane here, so there's no need for Cyclists Dismount signs and barriers - open it up and give cyclists priority!

The main gates of the National Trust's Trengwainton Gardens - all access now is via the car park, but wouldn't it be nice if pedestrians and cyclists could enter (and park) here?

Segregated path with awkward barriers.

Segregated path with awkward barriers.

The dead-end road is narrowed to a single lane here, but they still felt it necessary to install awkward barriers as well as Cyclists Dismount signs.

Not the most cycle-friendly link on this housing development on the edge of Truro.

OCM/OSM show this as a road - but bikes can get past.

Paved but flooded section of the Cornish coastal path - but better than the grass alongside.

Road closed with very restrictive barriers when motor traffic was diverted to a new development - pretty pointless, and I can't see anyone using it.

barriers on the route through Truro College

Steps to Green Lane, Portreath

A tempting quiet lane to Portreath harbour, but there are a few steps at the far end.

This needs to be opened up for cycling as well as pedestrians.

Three steps on this potential cut-through in Porthleven

Pointless barriers on this link to new housing

Not much room for the bus stop and the shared-use route opposite the Royal Cornwall Hospital

Footpath to the A390 - no problem, there's a proper cycleway behind the camera

No connection to Bramble Lane

Two trees down overnight on the National Trust's Tremayne Woods property.

To change platforms at Truro (eg to go from Falmouth to Plymouth or London) cyclists are told to go out through the barrier, across the level crossing and back through another barrier (their tickets won't work so they'll have to use the vid ... [more]

Link needed from the Portreath Branchline Trail to this side of the new Kerrier Way

Dropped kerb needed here for access to the Heartlands visitor attraction, Camborne

Amazing - the only access to the shared-use footway at the A30 roundabout is through McDonald's. I wonder who funded it?

Penzance's main street closed to traffic for Montol, the winter solstice festival - an exemption for bikes would have been nice.

Barriers and crossing on potentially useful route to central Penzance

Barriers and crossing on potentially useful route to central Penzance

The missing link in the Penzance promenade route - a ramp is needed to replace the steps at the right.

Site of the Mexico crossing to the coastal cycle route - closed by Network Rail due to deaths, but the Long Rock level crossing is close.

Bridleway - supposedly

This should be the start of a riverside cycle route to the footbridge and Wadebridge

Barriers on route to Priory Park, Bodmin

Pointless obstacles

It'd be great to have direct access to the station here.

Better access through this park to Humphrey Davy School would be helpful.

Flooded access to the coastal route east of Penzance.

Stepped bridge to the coastal route east of Penzance.

There's a gap leading on to the footway to the route, but the barrier should be removed.

The barrier indicates that this is not much of a cycle route.

Useful route into Helston town centre with less useful barriers

Steps on what could be a traffic-free section of NCN route 3.

Awkward patch on what could be NCN route 3 from Penzance to Newlyn.

Whoops - steps at the end of what should be a lovely traffic-free section of NCN3 along the promenade in Penzance.

Cycle parking obstructed by a motorbike and a car left in the turning area. (Of course a pedant might assume that cycle parking was banned too.)

St Guron's Way, Bodmin - the dropped kerb several metres away from where it's needed!

Railway trail leading to the King George V Memorial Walk (NCN route 3), Hayle - dropped kerb needed

Dropped kerb needed at this bridge over the A30.

New handrails but no cycle gutters (and no lift) - so if you're changing with a bike from Falmouth towards Plymouth and upcountry you have to go out through the ticket barriers, over the level crossing and back through barriers again.

New handrails but no cycle gutters (and no lift) - so if you're changing with a bike from Falmouth towards Plymouth and upcountry you have to go out through the ticket barriers, over the level crossing and back through barriers again.

Start of 'cycle' route from Truro station - with steps at either end of the bridge. It would be quite possible to engineer a route via the station level crossing. And why is the sign one-sided?

Barriers and no dropped kerb approaching what should be a very useful crossing of the A30.

Cycle-hostile access to the new Sainsburys (which replaced the heliport).

Cycle-hostile entry to Tesco supermarket, Penzance

No need for steps blocking this link

A cattle grid across the road. A journey on an open top double decker bus from Sennen Cove to St. Ives.

As usual, the road (NCN route 3) is not actually closed to cyclists.

This location was set by synchronization with the track at location #18657. This horrible barrier creates an annoying an rather unnecessary hazard for those with buggies or wheelchairs, or just carrying stuff.
