Side road for car storage and access to the coast path to Penzance - but not as yet the cycle route.
The obvious coastal route into Falmouth - open for two-way motor traffic, although one-way with two-way cycling might be preferable.
A slightly more direct back lane taking cyclists off the A394 for a couple of miles (signed as a dead-end to the right, though you could reach the A394 and Porthleven if you wanted)
New housing off the Helston bypass - car-dominated, of course, but with traffic-calming and the roads are relatively narrow and don't encourage fast driving.
The very narrow quiet lanes northwest of Truro have been closed to motor vehicles except for access - cue the familiar complaints about war on motorists etc.
Ford at New Mills - on the very narrow quiet lanes northwest of Truro, now closed to motor vehicles except for access - cue the familiar complaints about war on motorists etc.
The shared-use path alongside the A3083 past RNAS Culdrose needs to be extended to this roundabout - with a safe crossing to the left.
When I was young (about 50 years ago) this was a T-junction with the road to Gweek and Mawgan to the left - now diverted around the south side of RNAS Culdrose.
Flyover within RNAS Culdrose - there's no need for people cycling to work here to cross the A3083 on the level here.
The road parallel to the A394 now appears to just be a lay-by - it would be good to sign it to get cyclists off the A road.

The old road is actually still viable for cyclists as an alternative to slogging up the hill on the A394.
The nearby lanes are all very quiet, but the B3293 is a busy road and cars go very fast especially on this straight - speed cameras would help.
Widen footway outside Spar and up to surgery and stop pavement parking. Close Market Road to vehicles. Will make safer space for passing queuing people to surgery and pharmacy.
Narrow pavements and parked cars prevent distancing. Close and pedestrianise. Vehicles can enter via roundabout and exit via Sungirt-Heathlands.
Council proposing a virtual footway only. This is a route to schools and used by all walking to fom from north west (lowest income, lowest car use LSOA) in town. Also route for disabled users at Echo Centre and Passmore Court extra care. A ... [more]
Just a bit of white paint for cyclists here, although there was plenty of space to do something decent when the big new Tesco supermarket was built.
A new roundabout for a big new Tesco supermarket, but nothing has been done for cycling apart from a bit of white paint.
Cycle lane by the A30 (it's a better idea to take the old road via Hayle unless you like fast motor traffic)
Cycle lane by the B3301 to Hayle from the St Erth roundabout; and for cyclists crossing the B3301 to stay on the A30 (not a great idea).
There is NO proper cycle parking anywhere near the main entry to the Royal Cornwall Hospital. Why does the NHS find this so diificult?
Typical car-dominated housing development, despite being five minutes by bike from the centre of Truro
Acres of car parking at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, and no sign of any cycle parking. Why does the NHS find this so diificult?
Mevagissey harbour, where driving is allowed but cycling is not - though that surely wouldn't stand up in a court of law.
The bottom of Ciff St, supposedly a dead end and unsuitable for motor vehicles - in fact a quiet route for cycles (with good brakes) into Mevagissey from the north. Probably best to dismount here and go either left or right.
Supposedly a dead end and unsuitable for motor vehicles - in fact a quiet route for cycles (with good brakes) into Mevagissey from the north - keep left here.

Alternative route just above the main A3074 into St Ives - it would be nice if (one day) cyclists could use this in both directions.
Space has been found to rebuild the A39/A392/B3292 roundabout with two traffic lanes, and no cycle facilities - it was hostile enough before, but it's worse now.

Crossroads of St Austell Street, St Clement Street and Mitchell Hill looking towards Truro Cathedral in the snow.
Narrow bridge. I grew up near here and we all cycled to our summer jobs - but I'd never seen a lycra-clad cyclist here until yesterday. [update 2022 - since the launch of the CTC's West Kernow Way this year we're seeing a lot of bike-pac ... [more]
